Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in motherhood, health, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Seriously, was this my year?

Seriously is this my life…

I have to giggle as I scroll through my scant photos from 2015.  I am not a photo taker to start with but I had to chuckle when I saw some of the photos that define my 2015 year.  So I thought I would share my 2015 overview which makes me giggle as I think, Is this my life?

From  a new puppy that entered into our lives when we actually went in for a cat ID tag and walked out with a puppy.

To watching my daughter participate in the Young Marine program which makes my heart sing with pride.

To convincing my husband that we do not need a business storage for props… yes it will be another year without the cars in the garage.  We have never stored our cars in the garage so I am thinking we will not start this year either.

To her first ice cream!

I just love a sleeping child.

Watching my son yell for the Nugget’s mascot after spending the last 3 plus years being deathly afraid of mascots.  This was a huge hurdle and boy does it feel good to not have to dodge mascots anymore.

He also has no fear which creates fear for me.

Seeing the smallest animal in the house look like a fierce animal.

Realizing that putting all the left over food in zip lock bags doesn’t always look appetizing when you eat them the second time around – FYI this is Cream of Wheat.

Yup that is a candle with a whisk – who did that might you ask?  “Not me” did it.  Still a mystery to me.

Who doesn’t love ice cream?

Hikes in the mountains with my girls and mom

Some sleepers on the way to chemo trip.

Walking in the Pancreatic Cancer walk with my girlfriends and knowing I am loved.

Watching the sun set on the family trip

The surprise ducky trip which ended up being a highlight of the year

She caught a duck

A helicopter flew over me  - this was one of the coolest feelings in the world as it was happening.

Red coral sand dunes was a hit - As a bonus - we found all the plants and animals on the endangered list.
A favorite stop was the HooDoos - a must in that area.
Watching my girls develop their artistic nature has been a hoot - they will wear a dragon tail to the store or full furry to the library.  The cool part is all they wear - they created from scratch!

Then travel ice hockey has stolen my heart  - I can't even begin to express how much I have enjoyed watching my son become a goalie and his team play.  From the new friendships and challenges, hockey fills my heart.
I'm sure there is more I could share, but it's movie time with the family! This was our first family selfie ever and only for the year. Signing off for 2015!
