Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in motherhood, health, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

I choose my story

I choose my story

I have gone in and out of this blog because of fear. What?!? Yes, that’s the truth. I have dreamed of writing a book for years but I have refused to put words on paper because I am afraid it will not be good enough. Then I start thinking, good enough for who? You? Me? I am afraid people will judge my grammar. For my entire life, my grammar has plain ole’ sucked. I do not want to be criticized for my grammar. Then I watch my daughter Sydney develop into a grammar goddess. So what is my excuse?

Am I waiting because someone told me once, wait until the girls are older before you share your story? I then check back in after seventeen years to hear, ‘your not a celebrity so there will be no interest in the story’.

Who am I choosing to listen to? I choose my story. My story matters, and I am choosing it now. I am done waiting. It’s time to put pen to paper (well really typing on keyboard with my fingers).

I was challenged last night to carve out 1 hour a day 5 times a week to make my dream happen. Will it happen? Or will I let myself ‘off the hook’?

I choose my story today. I carve my time today. I choose me. I choose my story.

Thanks to Rachel Hollis with Made for More/RISE for the challenge last night. I appreciate the insight and direction.

Does my story start on the day I got married? Where would you start your story?
