Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in motherhood, health, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

What's Up Emily?

What's Up Emily?

What does the Emily life look like right now –

Starting

// a healthy eating style following a menu created from the book

Fed & Fit

.

I am adding dairy for the kids meals as I do not think removing an entire dietary element is good for them.

Current book

//

Here’s to Us by Elin Hilderbrand

.

I have read many of her novels and love the settings and the family dynamics.

Water Intake Helper

// A custom logo mug that I drink water out of with a straw.

I love straws as it feels like you drink faster and get your daily water intake in quicker.

Household project

// Painting, removing trim and old carpet from each room upstairs and replacing with laminate wood floors.

I love how easy it is to clean the new floors and it feels and look fresh.

Not sure when the next house move will happen but this makes the house feel new and clean.

Favorite treat

//Gummy bears with Li Hing Mui powder.

I am going to start

abruptly remove all sugar from my diet for the next 28 days hoping I can go cold turkey like my husband did to remove sugar.

My downfall is gummy bears and coffee creamer.

So I have started to make

Fed & Fit

gummies.

So far they taste great and are fulfilling the sugar fix.

Excited

// The birth of my girlfriend’s baby – Will.

I am really excited to meet this little guy and hold him.

I am excited that their family is growing and letting me part of her exciting life.

Growth

//

To attend new classes coming up this month in Social Media,

Networking (which is often hard for the introvert in myself), home decorating online class and blog class. (Both of the last two classes are via

jonesdesigncompany.com

and the social media and networking is via

DenverStyle Magazine

).

Clothing Favorites

// Trying to find my style during the winter months are harder as

I can’t seem to find the correct shoes and pants.

I will continue to watch videos by a sweet gal –

Brittany Humble with Be Humble

stores in Ohio.

She shares practical ideas and way to wear clothing that make sense to me.

What a gift she has to share with others.

Research

// Class in Botanical Arts … one of my goals that has rolled over year after year.

I need to make the commitment and do it.

Art Project

// Jewelry pieces have been starting up and now it’s time to continue to find my artistic voice.
